Meet the CEO

Hi, I am John Jiles CEO and Founder of Instant-Feedback Recruiting Service, and a former USA Youth Development Certified Basketball coach. I'm currently back at my roots coaching 8U-boys and 10-U Girls at Saint Phillips School and Community Center. Over the last fifteen years of coaching, I have seen student-athletes talented enough to play college Sports but were unable due to a lack of direction and funds. That's why I created Instant-FeedBack. I initially used Instant-Feedback for my basketball teams and families. I was able to get 95% of my girls' Basketball players into college and universities. Instant- Feedback's objective is to help in these areas; our vision is to guide student-athletes cost-effectively; Instant-Feedback is a sports recruiting service specializing in getting low-income and inter-city student-athletes feedback from college coaches.

Here are 5 key skill sets for developing talented athletes:

        1.Technical Skills Mastery

  • Detailed Description: Developing strong technical skills is fundamental for athletes to excel in their sport. This involves mastering sport-specific techniques such as dribbling in basketball, passing in soccer, or proper running form in track.
  • Examples: Skills training sessions, video analysis for form improvement, and repetitive drills to enhance muscle memory
  •  2.Strategic and Tactical Understanding

Detailed Description: Athletes need to understand game strategies and tactics to make smart decisions during competition. This includes studying plays, analyzing opponents, and knowing when to adapt their approach.

3. Examples: Film study sessions, learning playbooks, and participating in scrimmages to practice decision-making under pressure. Physical Conditioning and Endurance Detailed Description: Athletic performance relies heavily on physical fitness, including strength, agility, speed, and endurance. Consistent conditioning helps athletes build the stamina and power needed for peak performance.

Examples: Weight training, agility ladder drills, sprint intervals, and endurance          runs tailored to the sport's specific demands.

       4.Mental Toughness and Resilience

  • Detailed Description: Mental skills are just as important as physical abilities. Developing resilience, focus, and a strong competitive mindset helps athletes perform consistently, manage stress, and bounce back from setbacks.
  • Examples: Mindfulness training, goal-setting exercises, mental imagery practices, and learning positive self-talk strategies.                                                             5.  Teamwork and Leadership Abilities
  • Detailed Description: For team sports, athletes need to collaborate effectively with teammates, communicate clearly, and sometimes step up as leaders. This includes understanding team dynamics and fostering an environment of trust and support.
  • Examples: Team-building exercises, leadership workshops, and participating in mentor-mentee programs to develop leadership skills on and off the field.

These skill sets work together to create well-rounded, talented athletes who are equipped to excel in both individual and team sports.
